 Customer Service & Logistics Junior Manager

About The Job

As Customer Service & Logistics Junior Manager, you will be doing the following activities

  • Customer orders receipt & review.
  • Order Management Cycle includes entry, review & execution in SAP as a key user.
  • Liaise with Supply Planning on monthly planned orders based on distributor inventory.
  • Order book review with customers providing status of orders/shipments.
  • Issuance of documentation, -including but not limited to- invoicing and order/shipment handling.
  • Coordinating with freight forwarders and the plants to ensure that the legalized documents arrive on time for clearance and collection purposes.
  • Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency.
  • Tracking of shipments unto delivery customer warehouse.
  • Animate and maintain dedicated performance KPIS to be reviewed in monthly meetings. Main KPIs CSL, Transit Time, 1st Time Right, Clearance Time
  • Implement specific customer requirements, such as internal reporting or customized transportation metrics.
  • Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues.
  • Participate in carrier management processes, such as selection, qualification, or performance evaluation.
  • Monitor product import or export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements.
  • Monitor logistics operation to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness objectives.
  • Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios.
  • Plan or implement improvements to internal or external logistics systems or processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer service, order management and Finance
  • Analyze the financial impact and all aspects of corporate logistics of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers.

About you

About You

To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have

  • Education Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field
  • Location Danone Cairo HQ.
  • Languages required Excellent Arabic & English – spoken, written and reading

(French is a plus)

  • Experience Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of specificities related to Export Incoterms, Documentation, Regulations, and Systems.
  • Knowledge of Customs Clearance processes & regulations.
  • Organization ability to manage day-to-day activities based on workload and demands from internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in IS Excel Office Automation, SAP, Track and Trace website of Freight Forwarders.
